I will start by saying… this has been one of my favorite purchases of this year. How can a little lamp bring someone so much joy? Idk. I work from home and look forward to changing the light pattern every day via the app. I love having music on and watching it sync up with my music. I enjoy using the AI function on the app to create custom light patterns for whatever mood I’m in. It’s just been extremely entertaining and gives me some dopamine during my workday and adds to the overall vibe and ambience of my office. No regrets at all!! This lamp is just cool—no other way to put it. From the moment I plugged it in, the setup was seamless through the Govee app, and it instantly synced with Alexa. The color options and preset effects are vibrant and dynamic, and the touch controls are smooth and intuitive.Whether it’s mood lighting at night or some ambient color during work or gaming sessions, this little lamp does a fantastic job. It’s compact, stylish, and doesn’t feel like a “cheap smart light.” The RGBIC effects are fluid, and the customization through the app offers tons of room to personalize it.The only thing I’d add isn’t really a complaint—just a wish. If Govee made a larger version, even bigger than the one with the built-in JBL speaker, it would be a grand slam. As it stands, this one is already a home run.Highly recommended if you want a stylish smart lamp with rich lighting features that just works.

Stopped working, but Govee support helped me fix it!
I loved this and it worked amazing until today when it suddenly won’t light up at all and I can’t get it to light up. It shows it has power but literally no lights anymore. So it lasted from Mid July to around mid November.Update: So I contacted Govee through their website and they told me to hold down the power button and hit – 4 times to reset it. It took a few times and I had unplug and plug it back in, but it is working again. It is an amazing little light.

this is genuinely one of the coolest lights i have ever seen, and one of my fav things to play with. it’s so fun to create new lighting combos in the app and explore/try everyone else’s creations. it’s easy to use, lightweight, high quality, and great value for the price. it also serves perfectly in such a wide variety of settings. i’d easily recommend it to anyone.

Good for small spaces
I’ve picked up four of these Govee lights over the past few months. Two sit on my headboard in the bedroom and the other two are on floating shelves in the living room. The floating shelves work because you can elevate the lights to try to get them to light up a larger area and it frees up surface space on any counter or table top.They work best in bedrooms or smaller rooms where the light has walls to bounce off. I could see where these might work well on a kitchen counter up against on backsplash (away from the sink of course).Once you get into a bigger space like a living room, they don’t feel nearly as bright. Colors are a bit hit or miss—red, blue, green look good, but yellow comes out more lime green and purple looks more like pink.On the plus side, they do both bright white and soft white, the app is solid, and they connect easily with Google Home for voice control. I can even turn them on and off remotely when I’m away from home. The sound-reactive modes are fun too if you want them to change with music.One small note: there’s a version with Bluetooth speakers (not this version), but you can only stream audio to one light at a time—no pairing for stereo sound.Overall, they’re great accent lights for smaller rooms or mood lighting. Just don’t expect them to fully light up a big living room. They’re not perfect, but they’re still pretty useful.

Fantastic Smart Lights—Even Better with Home Assistant
Ordered two, and they lived up to expectations. The scenes look amazing. The lights can get very bright, though I expected the minimum brightness level to be a bit lower.The buttons on top are great for quickly controlling the lights. The Govee app isn’t the most intuitive, but I use Home Assistant to control them, which works great.

Great lamp! Govee knows where it’s at when it comes to lighting technology. I needed something for just a bedside light and it’s perfect for such an application and much more. Plenty of DIY lighting designs and fun festive lighting. Has great spectrum of settings such as warm/cold and brightness. It’s great for kids bedrooms as well.

This little Govee table lamp is the coolest lighting device I’ve ever owned. I’m serious, this thing adds so much to my room. It’s small, so it can be put almost anywhere, it’s VERY bright, and it has so many colour options and modes.I love keeping this light on before I go to sleep. It emits more than enough light to let me see my books, and I can make sure that it’s a nice warm colour to keep me calm. When I’m awake throughout the day, I usually keep the light on the “Dreamlike” scene (an included mode on the Govee app).I got this light on sale, and I’m so very glad that I found it when I did. Even without it being on sale, the price is fair and reasonable. I don’t regret a thing with this light, and I would definitely recommend this guy if you’re looking to spruce up your environment a little, or have a nice, aesthetic lighting piece to use when you read like I do.
