Great Entry-Level Gaming Mouse with Solid Performance
I purchased the Razer DeathAdder Essential Gaming Mouse (Mercury White) for my son when he got his first gaming desktop, and it’s been a great choice so far. The design is sleek and comfortable, especially with the rubber side grips that make long gaming sessions easy on the hands. The 6400 DPI optical sensor is very responsive, providing smooth and precise tracking whether he’s gaming, browsing, or doing schoolwork. The five programmable buttons are a nice touch — he’s been able to customize them for different games, and the mechanical switches feel durable and satisfying to click.Overall, it’s a high-quality mouse at a reasonable price point, perfect for casual to mid-level gamers. The white color also looks clean and modern on his setup. I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a reliable and stylish gaming mouse.

Probably the best mouse for it’s price range, simple, yet does everything needed.
First one lasted about 4 years. It still worked but the left click started to become far too easy to depress. So I was accidently clicking a lot. So I bought a second one. For $20 I will keep rebuying this mouse every 4 years for as long as they offer it. Great mouse, easy to click buttons on the side, great ergonomics, and not too flashy. Responsiveness is great (although its wired so its just as good as any other wired mouse) and the wheel rolls very smoothly and as very subtle notches it clicks into so you don’t over scroll when you are trying to me specific. The wheel is also larger than mice I have had in the past so it is easier to click when needed. I don’t really care about the RBG but if that is your thing it is not too bright that it distracts, but it is plenty bright to be flashy if that is your goal. It’s heavy enough it doesn’t move if your knee knocks the desk, yet light enough that I don’t notice it when using it.Amazon says to mention connectivity in the review, but its a wired mouse, its plug and play. It is USB-A. Not USB-CI only made this review because I was surprised to see it for only $20. I think it was $39.99 when I got my first one.

Amazing Value for a Top-Notch Razer Mouse!
I was in a pinch while traveling and realized I’d left my gaming mouse at home. Needing a quick replacement, I ordered the Razer DeathAdder Essential with same-day delivery, bundled with a mouse pad for just $25. What an absolute steal for a brand-name mouse from Razer! This purchase exceeded my expectations, and I’m thrilled to give it a well-deserved 5 stars. The DeathAdder Essential feels premium right out of the box. The 6400 DPI optical sensor is incredibly responsive, making it perfect for both gaming and everyday use. Whether I’m navigating spreadsheets or diving into fast-paced FPS games, the cursor tracks smoothly with no lag or jitter. The five programmable buttons are a game-changer—I customized them for quick in-game commands and productivity shortcuts, and the Razer Synapse software made setup a breeze. The mouse’s ergonomic design is another highlight. It fits comfortably in my hand, even during long sessions, and the rubber side grips provide excellent control without slipping. The mechanical switches on the buttons feel satisfyingly clicky and have held up perfectly through hours of use. I also love the classic black finish—it’s sleek, understated, and looks great on my desk. The bundled mouse pad was a nice bonus, offering a smooth surface that pairs well with the DeathAdder’s sensor. For $25 with same-day delivery, this deal felt like a no-brainer. I’ve used other Razer products before, and this mouse delivers the brand’s signature quality at a budget-friendly price. It’s not overloaded with flashy features, but it nails the essentials: comfort, precision, and durability. If you’re looking for a reliable, high-performance mouse for gaming or work, the Razer DeathAdder Essential is a fantastic choice, especially at this price point. Highly recommend to anyone needing a versatile, brand-name mouse without breaking the bank!

Excellent mouse initially, scroll wheel issues after a year or 2.
Overall an excellent mouse for the price. After a year or so of regular use it is common for the scroll wheel to start getting jittery. Scrolling up or down tends to not be as responsive and scrolling down will commonly be followed by a bit of unintended up scrolling and vice versa. There are a bunch of comments about this and recommendations about blowing compressed air into the mouse to resolve this etc. however the scroll sensor inside is a sealed sensor and not designed to be taken apart and cleaned, or replaced. It can be done with the right tools/care but most likely not worth the effort for a $20 mouse.

    Precise
The polling rate on this thing is smooth fast, the clicks are on point, it almost feels like its real time, a love that you can change the dpi to whatever you like, you are not forced to use a fixed dpi setting, you can adjust the brightness level even when it will turn off, just amazing, works fast and precise

    Excellent Value
This replaced a similar Razer mouse. The bottom line is that these track infinitely better than anything from Logitech. Moreover, the scroll wheel is perfectly ratcheted with just enough resistance to prevent floating. The Logitech products all have scroll wheels that don’t maintain the position of the curser on the screen. That is because the ratchet doesn’t provide enough “stickiness.” The forward and back buttons work well with Linux.

    Incredibly nice mouse, works excellent
Very responsive, glides smoothly. Clicks are not too loud, delicate. Scrolls great. My hand feels very comfortable, it’s ergonomic. Lightweight. I love the white color 🙂 and the glowing logo is so cute. I’m super satisfied by this.

Razer DeathAdder Essential: The Best Shape (Classic Design)
Great mouse. I love the original DeathAdder shape.I bought the newer DeathAdder V3 mouse, but the new design sucks. It was a major downgrade, so I was forced to buy the DeathAdder Essential. The shape of the DeathAdder Essential is the best mouse shape. The DeathAdder V3 (and V4) are terrible redesigns.
