Complete LoRa kit that works perfectly for Meshtastic and ESP32 projects
I bought this full V3 LoRa kit to add another node to my private Meshtastic network and it could not have been easier to set up. The board is the same reliable ESP32 LoRa model I have used before which means it flashes cleanly and connects without any issues. The included case and the 3000 mAh battery make this one feel like a finished device rather than just a bare module. You charge it, power it up, and it is ready to go.The antenna performs very well for the 915 MHz band. Range is strong and consistent and the link quality between nodes stays stable even when moving around the house or property. Messages go through fast and the connection never drifts or drops.Battery life is excellent. This thing can run for hours and hours without needing to be topped off which is exactly what you want in a portable mesh device. The case fits everything nicely and keeps the board protected without blocking the signal. If you want a beginner friendly LoRa node or you just want a complete package that does not need extra parts this kit is perfect. It performs at the same high level as my other V3 boards and the included accessories make it one of the most convenient options available. I will absolutely be buying more of these.

Great development and easy to use.
I have been using them for 25 hours. Easy to assemble. Their small side works quite well considering they have a 3300mah battery. The case build is a quality value. This could easily be included in your SHITF bug out bag for off grid comms.

    Great starter units for Meshtastic
I purchased 4 of these for my first step into Meshtastic. It’s easy to put together but there are no instructions included in the box. You need to use the assembly instructions provided on the sellers Amazon page for the device, which is fine. So if you gift these, just know you need to also include directions on where to get the instructions. Would have been nice if there was a note already in the box for that. The items come with a ton of extra parts and antennas which is nice. These devices do not come flashed with Meshtastic firmware. Once you are ready to load it, for windows users you will need to download the USB Serial Port drivers FIRST, then you can connect the device to your PC. Then from the Meshtastic web site, you can connect to the device, flash the firmware and even use the web console to configure it. Using default settings for the US region, the battery lasts a little more than 24 hours on a full charge. It appears to take a couple hours to charge back up. The device while on and with a slightly depleted battery draws a little over half an amp at 5V so roughly 2W. Short pressing the ROUND button will cycle it through a few screens while the square one will reboot the device. To power it off, hold the round button down and then press the square button. The SMA connectors once mounted in the case will not allow an antenna to fully seat with the washer, locking washer and nut in use. I found you have to leave the washer and the locking washer OFF in order for the antenna to properly seat. The 3D printed case really needs to be thinner where the antenna jack mounts. Also, the antennas they come with work somewhat, they are small so you will want to replace them with something better. Over all I think they are worth the price for a first step into Meshtastic. Don’t just get one unless you already have one or more to play with. Where I work In Atlanta, there are hundreds of nodes online, but where I live in North West Georgia, there’s nothing but myself so if you don’t have a second device to test and play with in an area that’s not covered, you’ll not see anything. 🙂

The hardware is useless. Everything else functions well.
I ordered the green set of 2 and was so excited to begin my journey with meshtastic and LoRa.Unfortunately, after all the software set up hassles (I had to install additional drivers on Windows 11), the 3D printed cases were unable to be properly closed and sealed because the drill holes were not compatible with the screws.I’ll admit the assembly portion of the set up was simple enough, but now I’m left with perfectly functioning systems housed in cases that cannot be snapped or screwed closed.I need to super glue and tape them to keep them closed. This is so frustrating.I feel it’s not worth the money I spent. I should have bought the more expensive ones that are not DIY. 😅🥲I’ll figure something out. Maybe I can set it up in one of the gazillion old raspberry pi housing units have. Idk.At least the systems work and I can connect to Meshtastic network and nodes.

good value, slightly larger case, feel robust and survivable
these are just as difficult to attach the antenna to as the smaller version, well they should be because it is the same radio board just with a bigger battery and more robust case. that the smaller version. The heavier battery makes them feel more substantial. The case uses locking nuts which simplifies disassembly. The batteries in these are supposed to operate for a couple of days but I’ve not tried that. The instructions for assembly correctly state to attach the antenna before connecting the battery. I am enjoying the ease of use.

Solid design that is easy to assemble
Easy to assemble and works great once setup.Windows users may need to use Zadig driver software to route USB port programming when flashing, but works great in a very tightly designed package that takes up as little space as possible for what is inside.Be sure to check assembly instructions on this page.

Fantastic little devices and pretty easy to build. I’ve got one flashed with Meshtastic and another with Meshcore and they both work without issue, although I did get new antennae to increase my range.

Funktioniert bestens. Befestigung der antennebuchse ist nicht optimal (kann nicht mit werkzeug angezogen werden) und obwohl selbsterklärend, wäre eine aufbauanleitung hilfreich.
