Rugged, Punchy, and Ready for Anything
I’ve had the SoundLink Micro for a couple of weeks now, and it’s completely replaced my old shower speaker and my travel speaker. Honestly, the first thing that strikes you is how much sound comes out of something this small. It genuinely defies its size. The bass is surprisingly clean and punchy, which is usually the first thing that fails on miniature speakers, but Bose really nailed the acoustics here. The best feature for me is the sturdy, flexible tear-resistant strap on the back. I clip it to my backpack when hiking, attach it to the handlebars of my mountain bike, or just leave it hanging outside while gardening. I don’t baby this speaker; the rugged exterior and waterproof design mean I don’t worry about rain or the occasional drop. For anyone who hasn’t used it, you should know it’s not meant to fill a giant party space, but it easily fills a campsite, a garage, or a small room with clear, consistent audio. The battery easily handles a full afternoon of music, and it recharges quickly. If you need maximum portability without sacrificing audio quality, this is the speaker to get.

Small but packs a punch!
Upon unboxing this Bose portable speaker, I was VERY impressed with it’s build quality and ruggedness. The speaker has a rubber like outer layer that gives it very good protection and comfortable to hold. It also has a loop on top and a Velcro strap on the back making it very convenient to hang it wherever you want. The battery charges relatively fast and lasted many sessions with more life to spare. I do wish that it would come with it’s own charging block, sems like nothing nowadays comes with one, making it an additional cost, but that’s only a minor setback. The sound quality is amazing for it’s size. I have owned several portable speakers, although not in the same price range, but this is a classic case of you get what you pay for. The sound quality is significantly louder, clearer, and has way more bass than my other speakers in similar sizes. Overall, in the last couple of days, I’ve been thoroughly impressed with it’s ease of connection and sound quality on my fishing and biking trips. I would highly recommend this speaker for those who don’t mind to pay a little more for way better quality. Bose definitely lived up to it’s name with this very well built speaker.

Powerful speaker for being so small
This Bose SoundLink Micro Bluetooth speaker was super easy to set up, once I had fully charged it. The Bluetooth link worked straight away and in less than a minute had hooked up my phone and was playing music on it.The sound quality of this speaker is awesome! It’s clear and powerful for such a small speaker. It can blast out a tune without sounding tinny.We will be taking this on vacation with us as it light and doesn’t take up much room, but will be perfect for playing music at the holiday cabin. It comes with a Velcro strap that makes it simple to attach to the parasol by the pool or on the lawnmower when my son is doing yard work.The battery life seems to be good and I haven’t had to charge it up since the initial charge.It looks classy – I bought the blue version. The buttons on the speaker are simple to understand and I don’t really have to look at the instructions at all to figure them out.I’m really glad that I bought this speaker and it will get used a lot.

Significantly better than my gen 1 SoundLink Micro – that one kept loosing battery power (when turned off) and eventually wouldn’t charge. GIven the strong similarilties between the gen 1 and gen 2, and the willingness that Amazon showed to take it back after a few months, makes me suspect that this wasn’t an isolated problem. Regretably, my old case didn’t fit as the gen 2 is slightly larger – I am sure the Bose design team factored this in for good (Bose) economic reasons. General comments: It a good portable size – not too big or heavy to travel with yet large enough to give a decent sound. It doesn’t touch my JBL Boombox for bass but then at a 20th the size you can’t really expect that. Overall though good easy listening quality and a worthy addition for those who like to listen to a bit of music when on holiday – better than similar size / weight competitors. I bought this colour matching and well fitting silicon cover on Amazon too – much better than my old one (which went in the bin)
