As soon as I took the power bank out of the box I could tell it was a solid, well- made piece of gear. Placement of the solar panel and other features is well arranged and intuitive. The user manual gives a weight of 303 grams which I verified with my wife’s kitchen scale. The box contains the power bank, instruction manual, and a small carabiner.The device contains impressive features: The solar panel is very efficient – charging the device rapidly in direct sunlight and also charging in indirect sunlight and even under LED light. The unit charges immediately when exposed to bright light. Above the solar panel is a light which glows green when charging the battery and a 4-bar indicator indicating the level of charge, and flashing of one bar indicating the rate of charging. The side opposite the solar panel contains short built-in cables: USB-A input for charging the internal battery, USB-C and lightning cables for output to other devices, and a wireless pad for charging phones and other devices capable of wireless charging. On one side is the on/off button and a built-in loop for connecting the carabiner. On one end is a rubber cover protecting 2 USB-A output ports and one bi-directional USB-C port for charging devices or charging the unit. Opposite the covered USB-A and USB-C ports is a dual-LED flashlight which is multi-function (solid, slow flash, quick flash) and VERY bright. It is activated by a 3-second press of the power switch, and cycles through slow and quick flash modes with each short press of the power button. A press of the power button on quick flash mode turns the flashlight off. The whole unit turns off after 30 seconds of inactivity.The user manual is 2-sided multi-fold with clear, succinct instructions on operation of the unit. I found no confusing translation anomalies or grammatical errors. The manual is laid out well, and includes cautions and warnings normally associated with use of lithium batteries (high temperature warning, leaving on dashboard in direct sunlight, etc.) Unit works best between -4 and 140 degrees (Fahrenheit). Instructions are concise: turning on/off, charging of the battery (solar & USB). Manual cites compliance with safety standard for lithium batteries, ISO 9001 certification for the manufacturing facility, and test certification from Underwriters Laboratory. In short, it’s a quality piece of equipment manufactured at a quality facility using accepted manufacturing procedures and tested to quality standards by a qualified third party.The manual also includes common questions and troubleshooting recommendations. The unit has a one-year warranty and lifetime technical support through the provided e-mail address.In operation it performed flawlessly, charging quite fast in direct sunlight or by USB. I tested charging of other devices using both USB-A and USB-C ports and it worked well.This is a great device that I recommend highly! Get one! Give one as a gift!
