Latest HDMI 2.1 Interface: Govee AI Sync Box 2 adopts the latest HDMI 2.1 interface for data transmission, enabling screen and lighting synchronization, and supporting resolutions of up to 8K at 60Hz and 4K at 144Hz. Note: Automatic signal switching is not supported when multiple devices are connected.
Unique CogniGlow Technology: Govee Sync Box uses AI to automatically recognize images and text, determining trigger conditions to match specific lighting effects. HDMI 2.1 Sync Box supports VRR and ALLM, reducing screen tearing and latency, providing a seamless experience.
RGBWIC Four-Color Mixing: An RGBWIC LED light strip ensures purer white light and accurate color blending for vibrant effects, making it better suited for game visuals.
High-Density Light Strip: With 75 LEDs/m and a brightness of 450 lumens/m, the high-density light strip cooperates with our Sync Box to provide a brighter and more comfortable experience.
Matter Support: Seamlessly integrates with multiple smart ecosystems, supporting convenient voice control.(Only lighting-related functions are supported).
DreamView: Synchronize colors across multiple Govee lights to create an immersive gaming environment. Equally supports Dolby vision and Doldy atmos.
A special note for using HDR, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision: Due to the functional characteristics, when you turn on HDR, HDR1O+, or Dolby Vision, the saturation of the light’s color might decrease, which is normal. You can also adjust the saturation in the app to achieve a satisfying lighting effect.

The review I wish I saw—and why this deserves 5 stars (even if it’s not perfect)
A lot of what I see other people saying is slightly misleading. I see a mix of:•AAAA AMAZING PERFECT!!•extremely underwhelming.•Good but… *proceeds to list fatal flaws*Here’s my honest two cents. What it does well, what it doesn’t, and why I’m never owning a TV without one again. Let’s get into it.Immersion: This thing is insane. If you’ve never experienced anything like it before, prepare to be hooked. It adds a whole new layer to the experience—it’s not just watching anymore, it’s experiencing. Explosions light up the room, emotional scenes set the mood, and suddenly your TV feels alive. It’s hard to find words for how much it changes your enjoyment of what you’re watching. ColorsResponse and HDR: The responsiveness is great, no noticeable lag. (It supports 4K at 144Hz, and if you need 8K for your TV… well, you’re probably crazy, but it does handle it at 60Hz.) I’ve seen camera-based systems, and honestly, they don’t even come close in speed. Not at all. HDR has been great for me too, though it really just depends on your TV. If you’re seeing complaints about that, I wouldn’t let that be the reason why you wouldn’t buy. The backlight is very accurate to what’s happening on the edges of the screen. Sure, if you’re the type to sit and stare at the lights instead of the show for five minutes, waiting for an “AHA!” moment to catch something slightly off, you might be able to find something. But in my experience, it’s spot on… I haven’t seen anything like blacks showing as green or other weird issues.HDMI switching: Soo easy. You just press a button on the sync-box and it switches instantly to the other inputs. No need to shuffle HDMI cords around, and you can have 4 different devices plugged into the ports. (Only uses one HDMI cord going to your TV, so you can have more devices that aren’t associated with the sync-box)What needs work?-The app interface needs some adjustments to make it more user friendly. Some of the customizations I would argue make the product worth using aren’t enabled by default. It’s not that big of a deal but having to dig around the app is not ideal, just to make it work correctly. I’ve already had two firmware updates so it seems like they are working on it actively.-Compatibility with streaming devices can be a bit quirky, it doesn’t turn off by default, even with the right settings (I use a Roku). But let me stress: this is not a big deal. I almost didn’t buy it because of one review mentioning this, and honestly, I’m glad I didn’t listen. There’s literally a button on the device to turn it off. Literally. That said, I don’t even recommend getting up to press it—this thing is fully Alexa-compatible. In fact, I’d say Alexa is almost necessary for the full experience. You can turn it on and off, adjust the brightness, and skip using the app altogether (after you set it up). It really ties everything together. What needs “work”? (my tips)-ITS TOO HARSH, EW. Adjust your settings! Make it less bright, tone down saturation, fine tune the colors with the provided adjustments, change the relative brightness, turn on or off the sound effects, change the softness of the sound effects, adjust the distance of the TV from the wall, change the- (do you get my point? it’s really adjustable lol)-It doesn’t work with my TV! Unfortunately this guy does not work with a smart TV, it needs some sort of HDMI input to intercept. Even though the camera systems aren’t as accurate if you aren’t willing to use some sort of other device like a roku or streaming box, you’ll have to use one of those. Or another TV.-I don’t even have a flat wall behind my TV this won’t work… This guy is BRIGHT, see my picture and videos, I did a color and video test to demonstrate it. You don’t NEED a flat wall behind it, but I’m sure it helps enhance the viewing experience even more. All in all, this product impressed me. The immersion it creates is insane, but honestly? What sets this apart from others is the price. It’s unbeatable. The hue system is so much more expensive, govee is on to something with this lineup. Sure, you can always find small things wrong with a product and I’m not claiming it’s perfect, nothing good ever is. But don’t let others sway you away from choosing this, it’s not a “compromise” even though it’s cheaper than similar systems.

    Govee backlight
I gotta say go you did it again. I have no issues with this sink box the color scheme, the lights, etc. is so easy to install. You don’t have to deal with the orange cubes as far as calibrating with the previous models not to mention it’s a switcher as well, so you can have five HDMI inputs to this box and you can control it manually from the box or you can control it through the app I have all of Govee‘s products. I’m a very firm believer of Govee. I have all their uploaded in their stands, their speakers, etc. I must say this is a definitely upgrade to your man cave if need be and definitely I would buy it.

    Almost Perfect
Well for starters, the installation was very easy. Clean the back of your TV with the included wipes before installing the strips. Once that’s done, install the lights along the edges of your TV. However, make sure you’re doing it as straight as possible or else you run the risk of it being uneven. Once that’s done, connect the HDMI from the box to the TV.Now, I never had the Sync Lights with the camera, but in my mind this is a better option than having a camera sticking out from the top of the TV. The only few downsides is that the lights don’t sync when you’re sharing your screen via AirPlay. Also, if you have a FireStick or other external streaming devices, you have to ensure the HDMI of that device is plugged into the Sync Box and not the TV. Other than that, the colors are smoothly synced with what’s on the TV. A bit pricey but it’s definitely worthwhile to add ambiance.

    Next-Level Immersive Lighting Experience!
This Govee Sync Box 2 completely transforms my TV setup. The colors are vivid, responsive, and perfectly match the on-screen action — it makes movies and gaming so much more immersive. Setup was fast and simple, and the app gives tons of customization options.HDMI 2.1 support works flawlessly with my 4K/120Hz setup, and there’s zero lag. The AI sync feature is surprisingly accurate too. Overall, it’s a premium upgrade that delivers on performance and visual impact — absolutely worth it!

Govee is GREAT, Sync Box is…
Rubbish.Unfortunately the AI Sync Box 2 is easily the worst Govee product I have ever purchased—I’m crossing fingers and toes that software updates can fix. The issues start with the actual length of the strip light. I have an 85 inch TV and purchased the 85 inch version of AI Sync and it hardly covers the TV which leads to “dead” corners. Not the end of the world but it gets worse from there. These things are a blinking nightmare—unlike my camera based Govee TV backlights I have owned in the past which are wonderul; the AI Sync Box has the following issues:1. Flickering constantly—much worse if you are using Dreamview.2. Very, very slow to respond to onscreen changes. My camera Govee works amazing with nearly seamless transitions—this is very noticeable delay.3. Not colorful at all. It seems to generally give off a white glow and no matter what I do setting wise it just isn’t colorful.4. If there are colors they are wrong. I was watching a movie that has a scene that is completely black and it started displaying blue and red for example—this happens a lot.5. Dreamview very slow to link. My older camera based Govee setup instantly connects to all my Govee products for Dreamview—this sometimes takes several minutes for all the lights to finally sync to Dreamview.6. USB cable is SUPER short—85 inch TVs are quite massive and the baby USB cord provided barely reaches the box on my entertainment center. This in my opinion is the first miss from Govee. Truly love the company and own literally hundreds of their devices but this one simply misses nearly every mark. I would say get one of the camera based TV backlights instead—or what for potentially it being fixed via software update. It’s a bummer for sure.

    Perfect backlight sync system
Previously had three sets with the camera.Wanted to go for the other brand but price was ridiculous. In the end this sync box works equal to or better, then the way more expensive brand.

Really nice sync box, without any delay!I had some trouble at the beginning with the leds flickering badly. I’ve found out that if you increase the brightness > 75%, they work a LOT better. Like 15% or less brightness will flicker like crazy. Also turn on black bar elimination. For me, the CEC works well. I don’t however use the input switching since all my HDMIs goes trough my AV receiver, then the receiver to the sync box.

Absolutely fantastic product, if you’re a gamer, this is a Must have! Purely amazing! I was a doubter at first but this Sync Box just rocks! I don’t need to reprogram or code anything, it just does what it needs to do, Sync lights to my Monitor, LED light strips is too big for a Gaming PC setup tho, better for 34″ monitors, not so much for 27″ screens, bending light strip required if you have a 27″ setup

Great product, much better than my old Nanoleaf 4D set. This actually stays stuck to my TV, but the clips….. Oh don’t get me started on the clips. Please do better and have better adhesive on those. For that reason alone this gets 4 stars instead of 5.
