Ring Doorbell is great, as expected. However, the Chime Kit Mini is a big disappointment. It totally replaces your existing doorbell chime and no way to change the default doorbell. As I understand it, the prior version did NOT change your existing doorbell. IT would be cool if you could change what your doorbell sounds like like you can for the notification on your phone. Bit of a miss IMO and cost Ring a star.

Ring Wired Door Bell
Far better than the battery operated door bell that I had- different brand. Clear panoramic view and ability to capture motion at an angle I did not expect. On-time notification of people walking up the driveway before they even get to the door bell. Able to share with my spouse and she gets notifications as well. I also hear sounds but have not tried to talk back. Will circle back an update this review when I have done so. I would recommend. Note that it was professionally installed as there were some minor issues which required a conversation with a Ring Representative-

Doesn’t work with existing doorbell!!!!
Does not work with your existing wired doorbell transmitter! The chime box that you place on the side of your existing doorbell transmitter wont work when you hook up the wires to the trans and front connectors like the prior wired doorbell plus to get your regular doorbell sound inside. So disappointed! I bought this and now I’m forced to buy one of Ring’s indoor chimes just to hear a doorbell sound inside my house.
