Four years later, a solid choice for this price bracket
I’ve been using these headphones for the last four years, so this is the ‘wear and tear’ review. TLDR: they’re a good buy. Don’t depend on the microphone. Life cycle is about four-five years before comfort items will wear out.Firstly, the positives. These headphones make beautiful sound. I’ve used them for everything from meetings where I need clear communication to hours of bass singers on youtube. The range, the precision, the fidelity, all very good. The noise cancelling feature works well, and I particularly love the Transparency mode that allows me to still tell when my boss wants my attention while I’m jamming tunes. After three years of constant use, the battery life is still measured in days of continuous sound. I can usually get three days (36 hours, I don’t turn them off when I leave) with Transparency active in Bluetooth mode before I need to charge them. Now the negatives. There are a few construction flaws that this model suffers from. The material used to cover the foam on the earpieces is a kind of fake leather, and the seam is glued, not sewn, so after a year or two of use I found the adhesive would fail and the seam split, allowing the foam inside to make contact with my ears. I fixed it by sewing it up myself, but it’s still kind of annoying. Also the fake leather is starting to disintegrate after three years of daily use. There is a feature of this model that allows the user to change Noise Cancelling modes by tapping the side of one earphone. This appears to function by having some tiny bit inside that detects the tap and changes the mode. I know this because it doesn’t take very long before this tiny bit detaches and starts rattling around in there, and the ‘tap’ function stops working. The first one of these I purchased, the tiny bit detached in such a manner that it would change modes every time I turned my head. I contacted the manufacturer, and it was replaced under warranty, no questions asked. (I still have that old one, as long as I don’t turn it on and use a headphone cord with it, it still works great.) My second one broke in about the same time frame, but the little doohicky inside fell down in a different manner so it doesn’t bother me. Honestly the ‘tap’ function is cool, but it’s a gimmick I could do without, and have for the last three years. The microphone kinda sucks. I don’t use it. Folks say it makes me sound like I’m underwater.Lastly there are some plastic bits where the headphone band meets the headband padding that break over time. Again, it took years, but they’ve cracked and long-haired users can get strands caught in these crevices. I still find it comfortable to wear, but I have short guy hair.To summarize, I recommend these headphones to anyone. I have worn them continuously for four years in my office, and they have stood the test with a reasonable amount of wear and tear damage. I have purchased them for my wife and my children, and that kid uses his headphones more than I do. They are well suited to voice communication, gaming, and music. My next purchase will probably be this brand, and probably without that stupid ‘tap’ function.

Compared to Tozo HT3, a great upgrade/better option
As a side note, I’m comparing these to the Tozo HT3 that I owned for about a year before they broke. After about a month now I can definitely say that the sound quality is more rich. Tozo has decent sound quality and the bass is much higher, but these sound more clear and natural.Though one of my dislikes about these is the build quality. It does feel like I should be careful with these if I want them to last. The battery is great, it lasts for a long time. I’m used to the Tozo HT3 dying actually faster than these and only reaching 30% before beeping, indicating it needs charging, and only 10 minutes after completely dying. These Soundcore Q30 headphones on the other hand last until the battery is actually drained, and they charge very fast.If you can get these on marketplace used and can verify they work and haven’t been used for a long time, $30-50 is a great buy for these. Otherwise I can also say that retail isn’t a terrible price either, if you must.

Excellent Product
I have been using these headphones for half a year or so (No longer use them, gotten new headphones). These are my first Soundcore headphones. I must say that these are amazing headphones. After a while of using these headphones, these are great for the price. They are almost good as the $100 Headphones in my opinion. The sound quality is decent; it is a little deep but good bass. There is little leakage unless sound is 70%+. The bass is good, and I do enjoy it, but I also enjoy heavier bass, not too overwhelming though. But with modifications and changes from the app makes it a little better.I am not too much of an audiophile such as spending thousands on audio equipment, but I do enjoy high-quality sound and bass. The audio quality on these headphones is good, although it’s not much balanced, a bit deeper sound and more bass (Which I do like the more bass sometimes but prefer more sound and more lighter/clear sound) although the bass is a little bit much for some people, sometimes bit much for me too, but you can decrease the bass through the app. It doesn’t really get much loud which is somewhat good, but I prefer a higher volume when I’m listening to music, so I keep the volume above 60%. The sound quality is pretty clear and rich, but it’s not really crisp in my opinion, maybe a little. Spatial audio is somewhat good, not as good as Sony’s though. Versatility is decent, you can listen to all kinds of songs and hear most of the sound and instruments, but it’s better with the equalizer app. The sound quality on wired mode is a bit better as it’s sounder and crisper to it, which is nice but not a lot of difference. The app is amazing, I can choose what type of sound effect I want, and it sounds great. I like the Acoustics and Bass Up effects and I recommend if anyone wants to try that, Bass reducer is also good if you want to have more sound instead of bass. I can also create a custom profile or change ANC to my liking (Which is my preference). The app makes it way better and becomes enjoyable.Overall, the sound quality is pretty good for the price. Not audiophile quality, but good for average users. The sound does get better with the equalizer app, which I recommend. I give the sound quality 3.5 Stars, pretty good. The Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is very good in my opinion. It blocks a lot of noise especially on the plane. I could barely hear people talking and I did hear a kid making noise, but that ANC did block a good portion of it. Although some noises do leak in, but it’s not too much. The ANC is decent, when you are outside and going to public places. I use the ANC a lot especially during trips and works pretty well. I have tried better ANC from other brands, but these are pretty good for the price. The Headphones also have touch controls at the right side of the headphones where you can switch between ANC, Normal, or Transparency Modes which is amazing. Instead of pressing buttons, all I have to do is touch the right side of my headphones with my palm and it switches easily. The transparency mode is decent in my opinion. You can hear some static a little in the background, but it works well. I can hear my surroundings and listen to music at the same time. However, I prefer taking off the headphones when it comes to talking with someone. These headphones also come with a fabric case and a small pouch. Which is cool since I do travel sometimes, and these are helpful to carry stuff. The small pouch comes with a USB-C charging cable and a 3.5mm jack cable which is great if I run out of battery and used wired mode. Wired mode has also slightly better sound, although not really much difference. The build quality is very good. It has a metal headband and feels very comfortable. It is a little bulky in my opinion although it’s not really that big of a deal. Unlike some headphones, I do sweat with constant use, but these headphones didn’t make me sweat often. These feel great and fits well on my head. Feels good quality and I don’t feel like these are going to fall off soon. It lasts long and is mostly durable as long as you don’t constantly drop them or anything. These are good for working out since these don’t fall off easily and is comfortable. The headphones do provide a tight fit, so it may be a little uncomfortable depending on if you prefer it or not, but there is little sound leakage and makes the headphones less likely to fall off.The battery life is amazing! The battery lasted a day or two with constant use with ANC on and almost lasted a week with little to no use. I used these a lot and the battery lasts long so I can use these for hours, especially on a long flights or trips. Now for the cons. There is a small issue when connecting to these headphones, sometimes there is a delay and sound doesn’t work, so I do have to refresh an app or reconnect my headphones. The built-in microphone on the headphones is not very good, it does work fine, however, the sound quality is not very clear, and the sound does become deep. Sometimes people can barely hear you during calls or you have to be louder and repeat words, but decent in using Google Assistant or Siri.Overall, these headphones are excellent so far. Decent sound quality and amazing features. The app is also amazing, and the headphones are good for the price (Better if it’s on sale). There are some cons, but mostly just not that big of a deal. These headphones are worth using and I recommend it, if you are an average user. But if you want better sound quality or ANC, I prefer other brands like Sony or Sennheiser.

Being a devoted fan of Anker products, I’ve been a satisfied user of the Soundcore Life Dot 2 for the past three years. These earbuds have proven their durability, maintaining excellent condition over time. The remarkable battery backup of 8 hours, coupled with the convenience of the charging case extending it to a week, has contributed to their longevity in my daily use.As someone who values Anker’s reliability, the decision to upgrade was driven by the desire for noise-canceling features. While the Soundcore Life Dot 2 served me exceptionally well, the enhanced functionality offered by the newer model with noise cancelation was a compelling reason to make the switch. The brand’s consistency in quality and innovation has certainly earned my continued loyalty.I’ve been enjoying these headphones for the past 2 days during various activities such as walks, movie sessions, and extended music listening, and I must say they’ve exceeded my expectations. As a self-proclaimed bass head, I can attest that the low-end response is impressive. However, for those seeking a balanced sound, the initial experience might not be as appealing, but the Soundcore app provides a solution with its customizable equalizer. The build quality leans towards plastic, but given the price point, it’s well-designed. The ear cups are remarkably soft with good cushioning, providing a comfortable fit. The headrest follows suit, enhancing the overall comfort during extended usage. The active noise cancellation (ANC) is truly noteworthy, giving a tough competition even to premium options like the AirPods Pro. One minor drawback is the transparency mode, which tends to amplify external sounds in windy or crowded environments, sometimes making conversations and wind noise more prominent. Extended use may lead to slightly warm ears, but it’s manageable. On the positive side, the Amazon delivery experience was commendable—swift and smooth. The fact that the product came directly from the original supplier adds a layer of trustworthiness. However, I must express dissatisfaction with the delivery personnel who left the parcel unattended outside my door. This could pose a security risk and is an aspect that needs improvement in the overall delivery service.

I’ve had these charged and in use the past 2 hours and I am blown away. You download the app to adjust settings for sound. They connect really quickly. They are incredibly comfortable and light. The sound quality is fantastic. They come with 2 cables and a case.5 min charge is 4hr listening time . The noise cancelling is really good.Really impressed and definitely recommend. These are replacing a really expensive set I’ve had the past 3yrs that started falling appart. These are less expensive but feel higher quality.
