A solid choice for a tripod
I was looking at multiple tripods to use with my GoPro when recording my son’s sporting events (football) and landed on this one. I am glad I did. It has great adjustments all the way around. It feels super sturdy while still being lightweight. It comes with everything I needed out of the box to do what I needed it to do. It also came with a carry bag that is super helpful. I am not 100% sure how it works with a DSLR, but it is perfect for my GoPro! I am glad I chose this one when I was looking around. Oh, and the price wasn’t bad for what you get!*At a recent game, some kids were playing around on the bleachers I had it set up on to record, and they knocked it over. It fell a few feet onto metal bleachers. Nothing broke or dented.

The quality and features of this jnit
While this was obviously designed for either very light video cameras or a phone ( comes with a phone holder), I was able to utilize it with an 8 pound Sony NX video camera while assuring I never let go the control arm. Since I was front row center in a venue balcony with 12 rows of patrons behind me, a full size professional tripod would have blocked the view of patrons. By using this much smaller and lighter tripod I was able to not be blocking the view of even the people behind me. This isn’t something you would like to leave a heavy camera on unhanded, it did suffice in a tight limited space. I will admit I also tied a 10 lb weight bag to the tripod to keep it from tipping with the heavier mounted camera but this tripod held up well and functioned for the need quite well. Given its construction for a lighter weight camera I found this an exceptional buy given its multisectional legs, pan tilt locks and yes even a balance bubble. For those using the newer iPhones or other this tripod would be the professional choice for that style production.

Great Value.
I bought this to take a few hundred photos with my phone’s camera indoors. And for that purpose, it is fantastic. What put it over the top for me was the little remote that allows me to take the picture from a distance. Having both the ability to keep the camera fixed in on single spot and being able to take the pic from somewhere other than in back of the tripod was huge time saver.The height on this tripod is also helpful for providing different options. I found the weight and thickness of the posts perfect for my purposes. Being made out of aluminum, I am not sure how this would do outside in higher wind conditions, but for normal weather, I think it would be just fine. It is certainly stable on its feet.It comes with a bag – which is really helpful. The remote is tiny and easy to misplace. There is also an extra mount in the package. Both of which can be easily kept safe in the bag in between uses. It is worth noting that you do need to detach the head fit everything in the bag.The universal phone holder will work with most phones. It is tension clamp, so that might rule out some foldable designs. An important point about the clamp is that the tension is significant. It is not going to damage the phone, but it takes two hands and some focus to safely remove the phone.I paid less than $40 for this and that is outstanding for something of this caliber. It does all the basic things you want a tripod to do and does them well. It is not intended to professionals and at some point, it’s lightweight and lower cost materials will hit their limits.
